This is a result when you always spend your day alone, and when nothing and no one who would listen but a piece of paper. (Oh actually not just a piece because I was able to finish this after loads of drafts! lol) I hope it all makes sense.
Sometimes we are so afraid of climbing the mountain, we forget it's necessary to put one foot in front of the other to get to the summit. No matter how long it takes. You can't do everything, everyday...but you can do something. Baby steps are better than standing still.
OK, I'll get to the point. (Less talk, more action. Jenny) Of course I can't make all of my wildest dreams come true in three minutes. If I could I would, definitely! But I'm not a freakin' miracle worker. But, here are some of the quick things I know I can do..to help my "wish" or "dream" become reality. Simple stuff, but...if I'm going to carry this with me, I obviously need a kick in the pants. Well, good. Begin Jenny.
1. Write it down (advised by someone so important to me). Once you see it on paper, it becomes real...not just some pigment of your imagination. It doesn't have to be pages of text. Just a simple statement. What you want to accomplish. Do it, now. Grab a post-it, lazy you! (I am, sometimes) and I'm sure you are too. C'mon. ;-)
2. Show it to people. (I'm doing it, don't I?) haha. Take that simple statement and talk about it to someone, to people. But, don't expect everyone to hop on board and be your cheerleader. This, is where most go wrong (guilty). Just because someone else isn't "over the moon" about your idea, doesn't make it unimportant. I fear change at times. But this time I'm going to do some changes ~ good changes. My friends keep reminding me that I am capable of doing more than what I already do. So, I'll stick with it, and pursue my dream for me. Not because I want someone else to notice it. (Now I need to start my execution)
3. Take three minutes a day, twice a day. Yup, just three minutes in the morning, and at night. (okay, so I lied...six minutes total! Aha! lol) Some says they lack of time when in fact we all have the same 24 hours a day. And I realized I only need a few minutes to set aside and do something to get me closer to what is on that little slip of paper. Make a phone call, work on my business plan, go Facebooking, and then? (oh oh, no Facebooking this time and no and then! move to the Next.). Just. Do. Something. By the end of the year, I'll have put in almost an entire work week on my dream. Doesn't seem like much? Really? (roll eyes) How much time did you devote to your dream last year, Jenny, hmmm...? (a lot! but I don't think I have done much to making my dreams a reality.) So, by taking baby steps, suddenly I'll get closer to making my dream a reality than all of the "talk" of making the "big leap" like I had in the past.
Get it done. By chipping away at the big obstacles, they get smaller every day. :)
Until then, I will let you know what happens. Next.
